While all the trainers on the 3Click team are extremely friendly and likable, Ryan Williams’s amiability is second to none.  Upon meeting Ryan, you are sure to be greeted with a wholehearted smile and off-the-cuff joke. Do not let Ryan’s happy-go-lucky demeanor fool you; this All-American guy is ready to help you conquer every fitness goal from athletic performance to dramatic weight loss. He is passionate about fitness, and he brings that positive energy to every session. When Ryan works with his clients, it is obvious that his favorite part of being a personal trainer is brightening people’s days. Whether it’s his quirky sense of humor or his effective workouts, Ryan is always going out of his way to leave everyone feeling fantastic.

Ryan’s introduction to fitness was as wholesome as the trainer himself. Ryan comes from an extremely active family with two collegiate athlete parents and athletic siblings. Growing up in Hopkins, Minnesota, Ryan was on all the sports teams he could make time for. He played football and rugby, so he always had fitness incorporated in his routines. Ryan’s diverse introduction to sports helped him realize the importance of a diverse approach to fitness.

“‘Fit’ has taken on a lot of meanings to me throughout my life.  When I was a football player it meant being able to move as many big weights as possible.  When playing volleyball ‘fit’ meant being able to jump high and hit the crap out of the ball.  After college, I ran a lot and ‘fit’ meant being able to run as far as I could as fast as I could.  Now ‘fit’ means being able to stay active and pain free.”

After sustaining several football related injuries, Ryan now understands the physical freedom that health and fitness can provide. Thanks to his personal journey of injury prevention and recovery, he can help his clients engage in practices to stay healthy for the long term.

Ryan’s biggest personal accomplishments have been graduating from college, moving to Boston with his Fiancée (and lucky for us, moving back), and overcoming his injuries.

“In my opinion, the only obstacles you face are ones that you let be obstacles.  Perspective within a situation is the differences maker.  I look at the multiple back surgeries that I’ve had, not as obstacles, but as ways to learn and grow.  I use the knowledge I gained from those injuries on a daily basis and now do everything I can to try and help others in similar situations recover.”
